LEED certification, a pledge to our commitment to more responsible spaces
The construction of Mellem Manoir-des-Trembles in Gatineau is in full swing, and the launch of rentals has arrived. It's the perfect opportunity to highlight what makes the project strong and the significant contribution of our partner Pomerleau in obtaining this certification.
Our ambition with our rental banner Mellem is to build living spaces where beauty meets sustainability through projects deeply focused on a more responsible future. Mellem Manoir-des-Trembles meets all the criteria to obtain its LEED certification, an international symbol of excellence in resilient construction awarded in the country by the Canada Green Building Council.
Located in the center of urban life and all its services, the building surrounds a large landscaped and green courtyard in the heart of a quiet neighbourhood. The project firmly positions itself as a committed player in the energy transition. High-performance ventilation system, eco-energetic air exchangers, compost chutes on all floors, green and white roofs, and underground parking to significantly reduce heat islands in the summer — energy efficiency has been a top priority on this project in collaboration with all partners, overseen by Pomerleau.
The project also features a large number of bicycle parking spaces, charging stations for electric vehicles, and great accessibility to public transportation. With common spaces designed for various needs, from remote work to sports training to relaxation, everything is brought together to create a dynamic and sustainable community.
